Aurum Restaurant in Gastein

Welcome to the Aurum restaurant in Hofgastein!

Our story begins in 1552 when this building was built. After a loving renovation, it now shines in new splendor. The interior design made of reclaimed wood and old oak creates a warm atmosphere. The ceiling was redesigned and the old river stone vault was partially exposed.

Our seating is upholstered in vintage textile leather and the lights come from designers such as Tom Dixon and XAL. The bar is covered in deerskin and the floor is made of solid wild oak.

A highlight is the river stone vault in the basement, which was completely exposed. The name “Aurum” is reminiscent of the former gold panning facility at this location.

We invite you to experience history and enjoy delicious dishes at the Aurum Restaurant. Monika and Dieter look forward to your visit – history and enjoyment merge here in a unique way.
